Why is food prepping important?

What meal is the most important meal of the day? Is pop tarts and cereal the best way to start your day? Watch the video below to hear my take on Breakfast.

Hi, it’s Kristy Peterson from Mama Bears Prep and today I just wanted to talk to you for just a couple minutes about food prepping for morning time. So breakfast type of meals – and I wanted to talk just a minute about why. Probably out of everything that you do in the morning, food prep might be the most important!

A few years ago, my son in his sixth grade class, did a science project in his science class. He took a survey of kids and what they ate all day long for food. These kids were sixth graders, so 11 & 12 year old kids. They skipped breakfast or if they ate breakfast, it consisted of something like pop tarts or a bowl of cereal or something along those lines.

The question that I have for you or maybe something to kind of ponder and think about is – If breakfast IS the most important meal of the day- is that really a time that you want to just skip out on the food that you’re going to eat? Or is that a time that you’re going to want to eat a pop tart, that’s full of sugar and that’s all the nutritional value in it? Which is Sugar really nutritional? Or should you really just be eating a bowl of cereal, which we think is healthy- but if you actually look at the ingredients in it, it’s usually got more or the amount of sugar grams that you’re supposed to consume in a day. Are you beginning to see why breakfast is so important and especially food prepping for breakfast.

I’m going to give you a couple of examples of what I do to food prep, my breakfast in an upcoming blog/video. But I wanted to get that baseline out for you, so that you will be ready to receive why you should food prep your breakfast.
