Watch the video below to find out what some examples of Breakfast Food Prep you can prepare and freeze for later.
Welcome back, it’s Kristy Peterson from Mama Bears prep and today, and I am going to share some of the things that I food prep for breakfast. Watch the above video and I will show you some of the things I make for breakfast and then freeze so they are ready in just a couple of minutes on busy mornings! Isn’t every morning chaotic and busy? Whatever kind of breakfast meal that we have we make extras then just freeze it, it’s just as simple as that! We also add some type of fruit; orange, apple to the meal so your breakfast is a complete meal.

1- Breakfast Bowls. I put pan-fried potatoes, onions, peppers, meat and kale or spinach in our breakfast bowls. Then I top with scrambled eggs. These can be frozen in meal prep containers or you can actually put them in ziploc bags.
2- Waffles. These are not like the eggo waffles, or the kind that you find in the frozen food section of your grocery store. Anytime I make batter for my waffles, I am actually grinding the wheat. Yes, I grind my wheat and so it’s whole wheat. It’s not just the white powdery flour. Regular white flour is not super great nutrition. My waffles have the good stuff. I even sneak spinach in the waffle and absolutely know one knows!
3- Granola. And my granola is so good. I have oats, all sorts of seeds and nuts and cinnamon. So I have a ton of healthy things in it. We can just eat this granola plain or you can eat it with a little bit of yogurt, but read labels and be careful with yogurt because a lot of times there’s a ton of sugar in it. You wouldn’t want your morning to just be sugar, sugar sugar! The day that I make the granola and bake it in the oven my kids walk in the door and are so excited because it smells so good! They are in heaven. They absolutely love it. It’s super good and good for you!
4- Crepes. I also grind the wheat on my crepes when I prepare them. I fill the crepes with a cream cheese mixture and I also put berries in it. You can make chocolate or tradition. I’ll put it in freezer paper and package two in the freezer paper, so that in the morning all you have to do is grab this out of the freezer, and then just heat it up and they are pretty much good to go!
5- Breakfast Sandwiches. I buy croissants, sourdough bread and English muffins. I put a piece of meat (bacon, sausage or ham) on the sandwich, a scrambled egg and cheese. Wouldn’t you rather eat a delicious breakfast sandwich or eat pop tarts or cereal for breakfast? These are literally just as easy as pop tarts! It’s a good meal and it’s super quick. They’re also going to be eating a fruit with it, so whether it’s some strawberries, some blueberries, an apple and orange a banana something along those lines. To food prep these breakfast sandwiches it only takes about five minutes.

Obviously there are way more options then these suggestions. I hope this has helped to let you know that making your breakfast in the morning should not be a big hassle and it shouldn’t cause you a bunch of additional time, especially on those week night mornings, when you’re trying to get to school or work or wherever it is that you’re trying to get to, and you don’t really have time to think! If you can take one day and just spend a few minutes preparing your breakfast for the week or for the month or, however, you want to do it, it’s going to save you so much time!!! It’s not even about the time, it’s also about your belly and the nutrition that you’re getting in your belly. Again, are pop-tarts and cereal a great option for you to start the most important meal of the day with?
Utilize your time and food prep your morning breakfast so that your family can eat something yummy and more nutrient dense then garbage filler breakfast foods. Preparing doesn’t take a whole lot of time but the dividends really payoff for your family!
